  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Walker clipped the Danish forward as he ran past, sending the 21-year-old tumbling to the turf. Hojlund bounced up and made a beeline for the Blues skipper – with the pair squaring up to one another. After their heads touched, and having initially taken no backwards step, Walker crumpled to the ground clutching his face.

Ex-City defender Micah Richards sought to defend Walker by saying the 34-year-old is “better than that”, but Keane quipped back with “Is he? I’m not so sure.”

  • WHAT NEXT?

Hojlund and United went on to have the last laugh as two late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo secured them a 2-1 win. Hojlund posted on social media afterwards, alongside an image of his supposed clash with Walker: “Manchester is red; Violets are blue; What a brilliant performance; But the Oscar goes to…”
