THE BIGGER PICTURE
Atletico president Enrique Cerezo declared winning the treble as the club’s main goal for the season, which led to seven new signings, including David Hancko from Feyenoord. However, with the departures of Rodrigo De Paul and Angel Correa, and the potential exit of Thomas Lemar, the addition of Alex Baena has not sufficiently bolstered Atletico’s attack. They showed interest in Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, but the Nigerian rejected their approach, making it clear he is only interested in joining Inter.
